The GP Challenge 1.5 helps you serve and swing with confidence. Read more.
With Air Zoom units and side-to-side stability, it’s made to unleash your inner might and smash whatever comes your way when it’s match point. Inspired by France's connection to ballet, this special edition pays tribute to the unseen work—the grit and grind—that goes into a performance.
Red-Dirt Ready
Nike Claybreaker technology helps give you enhanced traction and less buildup on clay courts. Added grip in the forefoot and midfoot work with a wide traction pattern to help you slide with control. We used traction maps, pressure maps and analyzed clay buildup areas for the design. Then we tested it on red-clay courts in Europe in multiple clay-weather conditions (cold, warm, wet and dry).
Durable Traction
Extra rubber in the toe area, specifically the big-toe side, adds durability. High-abrasion rubber in the forefoot offers durability and traction. We updated the toe skins for increased durability in a high-wear zone.
Zoom, Zoom
A forefoot Air Zoom unit helps you play on your toes and puts a pop in your first step. A heel Air Zoom unit provides support.
Stay in Motion
A strong midfoot plastic plate adds stability for quick cuts and power to your game when transferring energy from motion to motion. Webbing around the eyestays combined with the plate offers a "hugged" containment when moving side-to-side. The heel is extra padded to help keep you comfortable and supported.
The heel is specifically designed for rocker-like movements, like pulling back for a serve.
We added a gusset to the tongue to keep it from sliding to the side during the heat of play.
We updated the upper to provide more space in the forefoot compared to the original GP Challenge.
