This is my favorite Owl quiet paddle. I have tried the less expensive Owl Silent Storm and the 14 and 16 mm not-extended versions of the Owl paddles. Since the quiet paddle is not quite as good to play with as my normal paddle, I can only give it 4 stars. I trimmed the provided edge tape to only the 16mm paddle width and applied it taking the weight from 7.9 oz to 8.1 oz. Without trimming the weight would have been 8.3-8.4 oz which is more than I want. The balance and power is good. My normal paddle is a Neonic Flow Prime 16 mm and this Owl cannot match it for adding topspin but otherwise plays enough like it to not distort my normal game play. I'm a 4.0 player in San Diego area.
