About us. Our story began more than 45 years ago when our founder, Dr. Harry Ferrari, pioneered a way to create a pliable tennis string that mimicked the characteristics of natural gut tennis string. From there, GAMMA Sports, a family-run company located right across the river from Downtown Pittsburgh, was born!
